SHAPEWAY
Brand: Antoniolupi
Design: Carlo Colombo
Production: Testi Group
Material: Marmo di Carrara
Soft, pure and natural geometric shapes that alternate and intersect with rigorous cuts. A balance that comes from the play of shapes, able to enhance the materic and sculptural beauty of marble. “Shapeway” collection, thanks to its excavated profile, transforms the archetype of the bathtub and sink into sculptural and dynamic objects, able to interact with the surrounding environment and to change according to the observation point.
REEF
Brand: Baxter
Design: Stefano Guidotti, Vincenzo Colecchia
Production: Marmi Remuzzi Bergamo, Prussiani Engineering
Material: Pietra Paesina
“Reef” was born starting from the observation of the raw material these objects are made of. Monolithiv shapes with different joints and geometries. Blocks of marble on whose surfaces have been applied textures that make them appear raw and sophisticated at the same time. “Paesina marble” has been used as material, an ancient stone that has the charm of the stratification of the various geological eras itself. Marble sculptures that become furnishing objects.
CARVE 07
Brand: Gervasoni
Design: Paola Navone
Production: Marmobon – Domos Design
Material: Lava
CARVE 07 is a small mahogany chair/sculpture ebony finishing with a tribal charm that leads to distant places.
The curved backrest is handcarved irregularly and allows light to pass through the wood often giving the chair unexpected lightness. It is so special that it looks good everywhere, even in the most simple and minimal space. The marble version created for this occasion does not lose any of the features present in the original, demonstrating how malleable is the natural stone – worked by skilled hands.
PRINCETON SCONCE
Brand: Horm
Design: Steven Holl
Production: Marmi e travertini, Pietralab
Material: Onice
Wall lamp created for the furnishing of the prestigious Princeton University. It sums up the idea of dialogue between nature and its organic forms and man’s architectural or decorative intervention.
EX OF IN
Brand: Horm
Design: Steven Holl
Production: Marmi e travertini, Pietralab
Material: Onice
Steven Holl designed “Ex of In” as a lamp for his home and it was originally built with a 3D printer, made of recyclable material. Basic geometric figures such as the sphere and the parallelepiped intersect to create a play of solids and voids. In “Ex of In” you can understand why Steven Holl is considered one of the great Masters of Light, along with Carlo Scarpa and Tadao Ando.
CIOTTOLO
Brand: Imperfettolab
Design: Imperfettolab
Production: Santa Margherita
Material: Agglomerato di marmo, Verde Alpi
Ciottolo takes its inspitation from nature. A seat with curvilinear and smooth forms, that recalls river pebbles. The different models that make up the series allow infinite combinations. Designed and produced by Imperfettolab in fiberglass in 1999, it is now reedited and proposed in collaboration with Santa Margherita in a new material that overturns its initial characteristic of lightness to approach the preciousness and monumentality of marble.
SERENGETI
Brand: Luxury Living Group
Design: Toan Nguyen
Production: Cereser Marmi
Material: Santorini Quarzite
The ultimate evolution of Serengeti, the iconic table of the Luxury Living Group, could only be an unprecedented and exlusive version entirely in natural stone, a tribute to matter. The original idea of a total continuity of line and matter between the tabletop and the legs takes a new dimension in Santorini quartzite. Defying the laws of gravity, the quest for the essential leads to prowess and simplicity becomes spectacular.
KONG
Brand: Qeeboo
Design: Stefano Giovannoni
Production: Odone Angelo
Material: Marmo Nero Marquinia
A long time ago, in the distant 1933, the film Kong was released. The wild beast became a good hero when his feelings started to reemerge and he reluctantly had to abandon the jungle. The cities, New York or any other, seem to have become a habit. Kong however is surprisingly technological and almost human, he sheds light in front of himself as if the power were gone. He is physically out of size to be a toy or a lamp, as well as out of size for a gorilla. Kong becomes a unique and extraordinary object left loose in unconfined spaces and environments.
Most of all, thanks to the imaginative look created by the designer, he isn’t scary anymore.
GT DESK
Brand: Tonino Lamborghini Casa – Formitalia Group
Design: Formitalia Design Studio
Production: Piero Zanella
Material: Marmo Ombra di Caravaggio
Class and unmistakable style for the new GT office of Tonino Lamborghini Casa. The futuristic desk is made by marble, entirely, for the first time. The shape designed for the exhibition has a double support, a mirror shape of the leg that emphasizes the desk profile and aerodynamics that characterize the design of the collection.
