The new bathtub of architectural marks launches of the collaboration between Agape and the French architect. Thanks to an ingenious system of invisible joints, in the construction of the bathtub the surfaces appear to simply approach one another side by side. The surfaces brush gently against one another, and thanks to the extremely precise inclination of the panels that become the backrests, the bathtub is transformed into a cozy nest where you can sit, stretch out, read, and relax. Like the washbasin, this piece is an abstract object that uses contrast to enhance the almost baroque splendor of the marble.

The hollowed front panel that encloses a small vertical LED in the center is, with its faceted lines, the central jewel of the entire composition giving elegance and harmony.

Michelangelo is the new dining table supported by four legs which remind the shape of a boot, as to underline the value of the Made in Italy. The Michelangelo table owes its name to the material used for its creation: the precious Michelangelo Carrara marble, used by the sculptor Michelangelo to sculpt the Pietà. To enrich the work we have the Preziosi, a set of three small tables adorned with precious stones: Flut with Green Malachite, Wander, with a revolving top in Tiger’s Eye and Bronze, and Maggie, an elegant marble magazine rack that blends with metal in a 24-carat gold finish and Wolf’s Tooth Amethyst.

Demetra is the new entry in BiancoBianco’s latest collection, an indoor separator that fully embodies its name.
The work is in fact made of natural stone but completely reflects the softness, flexibility and lightness of leaves found in nature. This is because two deep-rooted limitations in the stone industry are deconstructed: it is not static and heavy, but rather adaptable to the environment in which it is presented, thanks to its undulating shape that allows it to be freely positioned and curved.
The ductility of the piece allows it to adapt in the ambience, delimiting areas and creating different intimate spaces, due to the multiplicity of designs and formats in which Demetra is exhibited.

Far from the contemporary practice in which stone is used as a mere cladding skin, Sculptura rediscovers the energy and archaic strength of the mineral element that resides in its wholeness, in its heavy mass, in the depth of its soul.

How big can a Swatch be? As big as 2.10 mts. actually – the Maxi Swatch is a playful and bigger than life interpretation of the most iconic Swatch shape. It has been interpreted by artists such as Damien Hirst and Folon, fashion designers such as Castelbajac and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, movie directors such as Luc Besson and Almodovar, designers such Massimo Giacon and Alessandro Mendini; it became Tin Tin, Mickey Mouse and Corto Maltese, it was a symbol of the Atlanta Olympic Games and of the Festival del Cinema in Locarno and now, in marble!

The Fida bathtub is inspired by nature. Fida is a real sculture carved from a monolith of brushed Vicenza Grey Alpi Stone. The material with a typical light gray color, characterized by the presence of macrofossils, gives the Fida bathtub a modern encounter between material and functionality.
The external line takes its cue from the organic forms of the woods of the rivers, which give the work a feeling of fluidity. The edges are rounded and the lines smooth. The inside of the bathtub is an ergonomic and carefully designed environment to convey safety and comfort. Fida fits harmoniously into environments, giving them their own atmosphere. Organic but symmetrical, contained but provocative, it responds to different needs.

Model TL-2491, dining table and mirror is part of the latest Tonino Lamborghini Casa collection, volume 6, characterised by a new style for the brand, very decorative.
Formitalia Luxury Group chose this new model for the presentation at the Brand & Stone event at Marmomac, entrusting the creation to a great specialist such as Marmi Ghirardi, which chose to present it at the event. Marmi Ghirardi, who chose exclusive marbles such as Breccia Aurora Marina Blu and Nero Assoluto for the mirror. The same Breccia Aurora Marina Blu is used for the 150 cm diameter tabletop.
“We start with a careful selection of blocks directly from our own quarries, cut the thicknesses to size and define the shapes of the elements with a bridge saw and lathe. Finally, our craftsmen finish and assemble the parts to create the finished product.”

Dharma is a collection of outdoor pieces, here presented as a preview in a special marble version and carried out as unique pieces. Dharma draws inspiration from the peculiar cooperation among Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Indian local workforce, which led to the creation of the iconic city of Chandigarh in the 50’s of last century. This collection, from a formal point of view, explores the relationship between East and West and, therefore, the contact between a handcrafted reality and the industrial design. Pure geometries, vaults and concrete full volumes of Chandigarh’s architectural elements are reinterpreted, giving shape to the poetry of furniture, enhancing the quality of the raw material, that is marble.

In the original version, the Bloom lamp by Matteo Zorzenoni, recalls the preciousness of antique perfume bottles and the shape of oriental diffusers of essences.
For Brand & Stone 3.0, Giorgio Canale interprets the shapes of these beautiful table lamps by Il Fanale, creating a floor composition called Seven Bloom.
Precious pastel glass, irregular heights and contrasting finishes, enhance the materiality of the recycled stones by Stonethica and create a dynamic set with a strong character. The materials selected for Seven Bloom are a Carrara Mix, a variety of Carrara and Grey Stone, characterized by warm gray-brown tones, with light white veins.

With this off-scale lamp, the architect Giorgio Canale interprets for Penta Light the theme of a street lamp. The two wide domes embrace and illuminate the spaces below as the slate base becomes furniture.
This huge floor lamp was born from the idea of dressing large residential and hospitality spaces, customizing the environments with light and modular supporting surfaces in natural stone. The block used for the exposed work comes from a Ligurian quarry, split and reduced into 5 cm “sheets” thanks to the skilled artisans and the use of a chisel technique. The base, worked with numerical control machines of the latest generation in technology, is assembled and finished entirely by hand.

Teddy winks to the traditional toy with an irreverent attitude mixing teddy bear’s traits with “almost human” features.

“Ossimoro” is the paradigm of tension, which here originates the shape of a sink-sculpture in white marble in which the dynamics of crystallized. Can the heaviness of the marble evoke lightness? The answer is in the past and recent references: from the drapery and the meticulous embroidery of the Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino, to the nine sculptures by Maurizio Cattelan in All.

Showed for the first time at the Furniture Fair 2019, the new armchair “V263” is manufactured with a structure made of two white Bianco Michelangelo marble blocks, skilfully worked in order to obtain perfect curvatures. The armchair is completed with cushions of nabuk and elegant details made of brass. Placed next to the small table “V211” with a top suggested made of the same marble as the one of the armchair and legs made of steel with glossy black finishing.

This year’s project for the Marmomac Trade Fair was inspired by the organic forms of Le Corbusier’s architecture, in particular, the Ronchamp Chapel and its design elements.
The sinuous curves and concave or convex volumes of this building serve as a construction and design reference. This allows creating the table’s shape and makes it a small work of architecture itself.
The leg profile mirrors the table top’s shape, as if one were the reflection of the other. The elements composing it are joined by an innovative polychrome terrazzo material made of resin and precious onyx. The components are joined by a ‘liquid’ material as used in the ancient Japanese Kintsugi technique. This involves the art of repairing ceramics by grafting the broken parts together with gold. Art, design and architecture commingle in a single work.

Cocoon – /ka’ku:n/ – “A silky case spun by the larvae of many insects for protection as pupae”. For the leading global event for the natural stone industry, Marmomac, Daniel Germani re-interprets the “Cocoon”, one of the newest additions to the collection introduced by Gandiablasco during Salone del Mobile 2019. This throne/cocoon like seating has been designed in
Pietra di Vicenza as a shield from the outside world, a sort of case or armor. In contrast with the soft and cozy perforated inside, the outside show us “thorns” designed to shield you from all harm.

Attracted by the countless monochrome nuances of Carrara marble, Paola Navone imagined a table in classic yet essential shapes, which is very modern with its composite appearance and the ecosustainable materials with which it is made. In the same way, the Gervasoni “INOUT 23” chair moves.
Away from its original appearance and gets a new twist, turning into a unique sculptural object.

The first production, produced in only 99 signed copies, was immediately sold out. The same thing happened for the second edition. Because the “Ripples” bench designed by Toyo Ito is a collector’s item. Beautiful as a sculpture, poetic and evocative, it stands out from the concept of an industrial product to enter the field of art. The original version is made with five different types of wood, which when worked on the pantograph showing the polychrome effect, evoking the movement of a wave, forming anatomical spaces for the sittings.
The stone version, created for the Brand & Stone 2.0 edition at Marmomac 2019, aims to be a homage to the designer Toyo Ito, to reproduce, with the use of natural stone, the design of the original piece, extracting its natural polychromy from the stone.

The very special and elegant table “Ashley”, part of the “Sprint Collection” showed for the first time at the Milan Furniture Fair 2018, is manufactured with a base of Bardiglio Nuvolato marble, a round top made of tinted glass and a revolving top made of the same marble as the one for the base For an even more refined effect, the display will be integrated with the chairs Neil characterised by a leather upholstery made of white soft leather with black profiles and wooden legs with black finishing.

“Reef” was born starting from the observation of the raw material these objects are made of. Monolithiv shapes with different joints and geometries. Blocks of marble on whose surfaces have been applied textures that make them appear raw and sophisticated at the same time. “Paesina marble” has been used as material, an ancient stone that has the charm of the stratification of the various geological eras itself. Marble sculptures that become furnishing objects.

CARVE 07 is a small mahogany chair/sculpture ebony finishing with a tribal charm that leads to distant places.
The curved backrest is handcarved irregularly and allows light to pass through the wood often giving the chair unexpected lightness. It is so special that it looks good everywhere, even in the most simple and minimal space. The marble version created for this occasion does not lose any of the features present in the original, demonstrating how malleable is the natural stone – worked by skilled hands.

Steven Holl designed “Ex of In” as a lamp for his home and it was originally built with a 3D printer, made of recyclable material. Basic geometric figures such as the sphere and the parallelepiped intersect to create a play of solids and voids. In “Ex of In” you can understand why Steven Holl is considered one of the great Masters of Light, along with Carlo Scarpa and Tadao Ando.

Ciottolo takes its inspitation from nature. A seat with curvilinear and smooth forms, that recalls river pebbles. The different models that make up the series allow infinite combinations. Designed and produced by Imperfettolab in fiberglass in 1999, it is now reedited and proposed in collaboration with Santa Margherita in a new material that overturns its initial characteristic of lightness to approach the preciousness and monumentality of marble.

A long time ago, in the distant 1933, the film Kong was released. The wild beast became a good hero when his feelings started to reemerge and he reluctantly had to abandon the jungle. The cities, New York or any other, seem to have become a habit. Kong however is surprisingly technological and almost human, he sheds light in front of himself as if the power were gone. He is physically out of size to be a toy or a lamp, as well as out of size for a gorilla. Kong becomes a unique and extraordinary object left loose in unconfined spaces and environments.
Most of all, thanks to the imaginative look created by the designer, he isn’t scary anymore.
